Poetry and music, the same? (Poetry workshop)

I really enjoyed this second to last lecture. I felt that the bigger groups really helped us think and have a generally good time while closing out the semester. There was some good conversation going on in the team. All the poems that everyone had brought were all interesting in different ways and there were many interesting connections that I was able to make on how similar songs and poetry are. I liked how physically looking and reading the lyrics to a song normally reflected how close it was to poetry. This made me listen to the same music in a slightly different way and I was able to hear some of the rhyme scheme in some of the songs as well as the breaks in stanzas and everything.
